Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on Biskit.Pet and will result in immediate account suspension or termination:
1. Puppy Mills & Commercial Breeding Operations
Prohibited:
- Large-scale unlicensed breeding facilities
- Breeding operations that prioritize profit over animal welfare
- Keeping breeding animals in inhumane conditions
- Breeding animals excessively or without adequate recovery time
What we allow:
- Responsible hobby breeders with health-tested, well-cared-for animals
- Small-scale ethical breeding programs
- Breeders who follow local licensing requirements
2. Animal Abuse & Neglect
Prohibited:
- Physical abuse or mistreatment of animals
- Neglect (inadequate food, water, shelter, medical care)
- Animal fighting or training for fighting
- Abandonment of animals
- Selling sick, injured, or suffering animals without disclosure
We require:
- Honest disclosure of animal health status
- Evidence of basic veterinary care
- Humane treatment of all animals
3. Illegal Animal Sales & Trade
Prohibited:
- Selling animals prohibited by local, state, or federal law
- Endangered species trade
- Animals obtained through theft or illegal means
- Selling animals across state/international borders without proper permits
- Selling wildlife or exotic animals without proper licensing
We comply with:
- All local animal welfare laws
- State breeding and sales regulations
- Federal animal protection statutes
4. Underage Animal Sales
Prohibited:
- Selling puppies or kittens under 8 weeks of age (illegal in most jurisdictions)
- Breeding animals before they reach appropriate maturity
- Misrepresenting the age of animals
Requirements:
- Minimum age disclosure required for all adoption listings
- Vaccinations appropriate for age must be disclosed
- No separating puppies/kittens from mothers before 8 weeks
5. Fraud & Scams
Prohibited:
- Misrepresenting breed, age, health, or pedigree
- "Bait and switch" tactics
- Requesting payment without delivering promised animals
- Fake shelter or rescue operations
- Identity theft or impersonation
- Spamming or soliciting outside of platform guidelines
We promote:
- Honest, accurate listings
- Transparent communication
- In-person meetups before transactions
- Verified shelter accounts (with 501(c)(3) documentation)
6. Inappropriate Content
Prohibited:
- Sexually explicit or suggestive content
- Violent, graphic, or disturbing imagery
- Hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
- Spam or commercial solicitation unrelated to pets
- Impersonation of other users or organizations
Expected behavior:
- Respectful communication
- Family-friendly photos and descriptions
- Professional conduct in all interactions
Required Disclosures for Adoption Listings
To ensure transparency and prevent fraud, all adoption listings must include:
Required Information:
- Approximate age of the animal
- Health/vaccination status (vaccinated, not vaccinated, or unknown)
- Clear, recent photos (up to 5)
- Accurate breed information (purebred or mixed)
- Honest description of temperament and any known issues
Encouraged (Optional):
- Breeder license number (if applicable)
- Veterinary contact information
- Health certificates or records
- Spay/neuter status
- Microchip information
Prohibited:
- Selling sick animals without full disclosure
- Hiding known health or behavioral problems
- Misrepresenting purebred status
- Falsifying vaccination records
Reporting & Enforcement
How to Report Violations
If you encounter any of the above prohibited activities, please report them immediately:

- Select "Report" and choose a reason:
- Available reasons:
- Animal Abuse or Neglect
- Suspected Puppy Mill
- Fraud or Scam
- Inappropriate Content
- Underage Animal Sale
- Other (provide details)
- Provide details (optional but helpful)
- Submit - your report goes directly to our moderation team
Your reports are confidential. The reported user will not know who submitted the report.
Our Response Commitment
- 24-hour review - All reports are reviewed within 24 hours
- Action taken - We investigate and take appropriate action:
- Warning to the user
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Content removal
- Cooperation with law enforcement (for illegal activity)
Blocking Users
You can block any user at any time:
- Blocked users cannot see your pets or listings
- Blocked users cannot send you messages
- You will not see their content in your feed
- Blocking is reversible from your settings
Cooperation with Authorities
Biskit.Pet cooperates fully with:
- Local animal control agencies
- Law enforcement investigating animal abuse or illegal activity
- State and federal animal welfare authorities
- Legitimate animal rescue organizations
We may provide user information to authorities when:
- Required by law (subpoena, warrant)
- Necessary to prevent imminent harm to animals
- Investigating suspected illegal activity
Seller & Breeder Best Practices
For Responsible Breeders:
- Health test your breeding animals for genetic conditions
- Provide veterinary records to buyers
- Offer health guarantees and written contracts
- Screen potential buyers carefully
- Take back puppies if buyers can't keep them
- Limit breeding frequency - allow proper recovery time
- Socialize puppies properly before placement
- Follow local licensing requirements
For Shelters & Rescues:
- Verify 501(c)(3) status to get FREE account
- Provide accurate animal histories when known
- Disclose known health or behavioral issues
- Conduct adoption screenings appropriately
- Offer post-adoption support
- Spay/neuter before adoption (when appropriate)
For Adopters & Buyers:
- Meet animals in person before committing
- Ask for health records and vaccination proof
- Visit the breeder's facility if possible
- Get written agreements for purchases
- Report suspicious activity immediately
- Be prepared for the financial and time commitment
Your Rights as a User
You have the right to:
- Report violations anonymously
- Block users who make you uncomfortable
- Delete your account at any time
- Export your data upon request
- Appeal moderation decisions if you believe an error was made
